First Grade Spelling Words

First Graders will be given a set of the Trick Words to learn to spell every month. New word lists for each month will come home inside the Homework Folder at the beginning of every new month. They’ll also be listed on the newsletter each week. Spelling tests will usually fall on the last day of the last week of the month. Please continue to practice any words your child missed on the previous month’s spelling test. “Old” words do show up as part of the sentence dictation portion of the spelling test! Here is a master list of each month’s words for your reference.
