Sensational Summer
Reading – Pick A Project!
Think
of all the books you read this summer.
Decide which book you liked best.
Next, choose one of the following projects, complete it, and return it
to your teacher during the first week of school.

1. Create a diorama (pictures, fabric, objects,
etc. pasted in a shoe box or another small box). Your
diorama should include the book’s title and author.

2.
Create a poster advertising your book.
Your poster should display the title and author of the book, and it
should make other students want to read the book.

3.
Draw or take a picture of yourself reading your favorite book OR draw a
picture of your favorite character. Tell
why it is your favorite book OR write a summary of the book. Be sure to include the title and author of
your book. (You can use form below if
you wish. Just scroll down.)

4.
Create a recipe for a food mentioned in the story OR cook a food
mentioned in the story and then take a picture of you eating the food. Tell
what you made and why. Remember to
include the title and author of your book.
5. Email Mrs. Pauken (pauken@wlake.org) or Mrs. Geletka (geletka@wlake.org) and tell
her
about your favorite book. Include the
title, the author and why you liked the book.
