MUSIC OF THE
1960’s
- After
reading your assigned chapter determine the mood of this chapter.

MOOD:
(atmosphere) A feeling that a literary work conveys to readers (example:
tension, anticipation).
- Select
a song from the 1960s that conveys the same mood.
- Where
can you find a song?
-ask your parents
-use your computer and go to the
search engine. Type in “songs+1960s”
and choose a song.
-go to the library to get the tape
or CD or ask your parents if they have the song
- Get
the song on tape or CD and bring it in to school on your assigned due
date.
- Be
prepared to give a brief oral presentation that includes the title of the
song, the artist and the mood that the song conveys. Also, be able to explain how the song
matches the mood of your assigned chapter.
- You
will play the song for the class to hear.
