Grades:

A reflection of your ability and EFFORT are represented by your work. Grades are posted on line.  The grades are updated weekly.  Parents please obtain your child’s password and procedures to view their grades on line. Any questions, please email me and I will provide you with the password and procedures for viewing student grades on line. You may also obtain this information in the LBMS office. Check Progress book often to be sure your grade is correct.

Tests/Quizzes:

Assessing your long-term knowledge on each topic is required.  Students are given one week’s notice for tests. A copy of the essay question(s) is provided a week in advance too. Students may practice answering the question prior to the test and I will assess the correctness of the answer for them. A study guide is provided for preparing for the test.  Quizzes are given during the week that the information is presented.

Late work:

Do not put off for tomorrow that which can be done today. The rules of the handbook are followed for absence late work.  For those of you who forget to do your homework, your late work can be turned in before interim grades or by the end of quarter for half credit.

Absences:

Better to heal your body before taxing your mind. The number of days you are out are the number of days provided for making up work. If more time is needed see me PRIOR to the day that it is due. I will be happy to extend your time if you come to me before your due date, not on or after your due date.

Demerits:

You decide on your actions, thus You decide on the consequences to Your actions. See the LBMS handbook. An alternative to demerits is a 250 word essay (typed – 14 font) on RESPONSIBILITY and signed by your parents.
