1.     Using the above sites answer the following questions:

 

a.     Define the term ‘apparent’.

b.     In collecting shadow data outside, you might describe the Sun’s path as the “apparent path of the Sun across the sky.” Why is the word “apparent” used in that description?

c.      After each statement, indicate whether it is true or false and describe why.

                                                             i.      The Sun rises.

                                                           ii.      The rotation of Earth makes it look as if the Sun is moving above the horizon.

                                                        iii.      Define rotation.
