Bill of Rights – First 10 Amendments

 

ONE:  Freedom of speech, religion, press, and the right to assemble.

Two:  The right to bear arms (carry guns)

Three:  No quartering of soldiers without the consent of the home owner

Four:  No unreasonable searches and seizures

Five:  Right to jury for criminal crimes, right to due process, cannot be forced to be witness against self, no double jeopardy

Six:  The right to a speedy and public trial, the right to have counsel  (lawyer)

Seven:  The right to a jury trial for civil matters

Eight:  No excessive bail, no cruel or unusual punishment

Nine:  You have even MORE RIGHTS which are not specifically stated within these Bill of Rights

Ten:   Powers not delegated by the constitution are reserved for individual states
