Remediation

Remediation is a tool to help students achieve success in areas where they may have struggled during the year. Remediation also provides the student with the opportunity to improve their exam grade as well. For example, if a student struggles on a particular exam, they have the opportunity to review (i.e., remediate) that topic through an additional assignment and an exam re-take.

1.   Students must remediate an exam if their exam score is below 70%.

2.   Students will discuss with the teacher what the remediation assignment will be.

3.   Once the remediation assignment is successfully completed, students will re-take the exam.

4.   Based on their exam re-take grade, students may earn up to a 70% on their initial exam grade.

5.   Students have one week after the exam to complete their remediation.
