I’d like to take a moment of your time to introduce myself. My name is Mr. Jeff Huber and this is my fifth year at Westlake High School teaching Social Studies. I completed my undergraduate work at Ohio Wesleyan University and gained my master’s degree in education from Ursuline College.

I am very interested in making this a successful and happy school year for your child. To ensure this success, we must keep the lines of communication open. I respect the fact that you know your child very well, and so when either you or your child has a question or concern, please contact me. I am available at school until 3:00 P.M. each day.

I hope to see you at open house, which is Wednesday, September 8^th from 6:45-9:00. If that does not work, we can also meet at parent teacher conferences, which are September 28^th and October 6^th from 5:30-9:00. You can schedule an appointment by calling 835-6352. If neither of those work for you, please contact me to set up another time, if necessary. At the time of open house, I would like to discuss in detail the academic program, my discipline procedures, grading, and my goals and expectations for this year. I hope that you will attend because it will give you an opportunity to understand my expectations and to become better acquainted with the materials that your child will be learning throughout the coming year.
