Classroom Rules

The following rules apply and will be enforced in my classroom at all times:

1. No eating, drinking or gum chewing in classrooms.
   
   
2. Be on time! After being tardy twice, a teacher detention will be assigned!
   
   
3. Come to class prepared. This means appropriate textbook, pencil, paper, etc…All students need to have a box of colored pencils and a ruler. Other supplies will be needed for projects and notification given when they are needed.
   
4. No personal electronic devices such as, but not limited to, I-pods, MP3 players or digital games shall be visible or in use in the classroom.
   
   
5. You are allowed to possess your cell phone but it should not be ON or VISIBLE. If a cell phone rings in class, the phone will be confiscated!
   
   
6. Purses, book bags, etc…must be left ON THE FLOOR, under your desk.
   
   
7. Respect all people, their property and all school property.
   
   
8. You are allowed three hall passes at the beginning of each Nine Weeks. Use them wisely (only for emergencies) because this is all you will receive. Any emergencies beyond the three will result in a teacher detention assigned. This allows you to make up for time missed during class. Hall Passes not used during a nine-week period may be returned to the teacher for bonus points.
   
   
9. Disrupting class or interrupting the teacher will result in a teacher detention.
   
   
10. All teacher detentions are served from 2:35 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in room 214. The detention must be served within two days or an office detention will be issued.
    
    
11. Other rules may be applied as deemed necessary.
