Setup Assignment Types

  • In the name area, type in the assignment type
  • In the Abbr, type in a 2-3 letter abbreviation for that type
  • Choose Points or Percents in the Mark Type

 

What classes do these assignments types apply to?

Check the boxes of the classes you wish that assignment type to apply to.  (If you choose to use the All box, this might have to be applied twice)

Select either Straight or Weighted Average

 

If you weight your grades by assignment type, type in numbers in the appropriate boxes.  Make sure they add up to 100

Check the box for Parkside Intermediate school (either 5th or 6th)

At the top of this next page (Grading Scale Tab), click the down arrow for the top field and choose the selection for achievement

You do not have to make any other changes on the section below.

The next window is if you wish to assign individual students different grading scales.  For many, you won't have to make changes.

Sure...on this next window, you could attempt to check all boxes representing your classes and then click to copy the settings to all your other classes - BUT, we've found that it doesn't always work.  It would be best for you to go through all your classes using the step above (starting from Custom Setup)
