Adding Assignments

Description:
You can add assignments from most any page.

 
Go to one of your class dashboards and click on Add Assignment in the center column  

1:  Fill in a description for the assignment.  There is a limit on the number of characters

2:  Click the to choose an assignment type

3:  Set the assignment dates. 

4:  Put in how many points the assignment is worth

5:  If you wish to weight the assignment, change the '1' to a 2 or more
 

 
If you've set up Student Groups for your classes, you will be able to assign the grade to one specific group.  Otherwise, leave alone

 

1:  Optional - Floating assignments are those that are assigned early in the grading period, but might not be due for a long period of time.

2:  A better place to put assignments up to the Homework page is on the dashboard. That location allows more of a description to be written.

3:  Check box if wish to exclude this assignment from student average

4:  Probably don't want to post at this point (before you enter marks), but you can should you wish
 

 
Check the boxes of any other class this assignment pertains to
   
Click  
Back on your dashboard, the assignment will appear in the right column on the assignments tab.  You can always go back to edit the particulars of that assignment by clicking on the assignment.
