Errors when Entering Grades
Error 42:
When entering
grades during report card time, after you hit
“=” and save… you may see red letters at the bottom of the screen
that say SYSTEM ERROR 42 or
something like that instead of SAVED SUCCESSFULLY
If that happens to
you… it’s probably because you have a withdrawn student that is not
hidden. Go to the kids class from your dashboard, update roster,
hide the kid, and try the report card again. You should not get any
errors this time around.

If I
have a year-long class… do I still have to check the FIN
box???
YES… check
the FIN box and then SAVE for ALL classes.
|
 |
I check more than one button (Q2,
S1 or FIN) and hit the “=” button and the grades don’t
calculate properly.
You have to do each of the buttons (Q2,
S1 or FIN) one at a time AND in order. Make sure you SAVE…
manually adjust… and SAVE after you hit the “=” button.

 |
I have a student who has in the 3 grades (Qtr 1, Qtr 2,
Semester Exam) of the first semester, but when I hit the “=”
sign, it recalculates so the student gets a passing grade.
Hitting the “=” button for a checked box
recalculates the grades based upon what has been entered
into ProgressBook.
Here’s the procedure for MANUALLY overriding
any of the checked boxes…
· Check
the appropriate box (Q2, S1 or FIN) and hit the “=” button.
ProgressBook will recalculate grades.
·
Hit SAVE
·
Go back and
MANUALLY change any grades that need to be changed.
· DO
NOT hit the “=” button… but go right to the SAVE button. If
you hit the “=” button… your manual override will be
discarded.

I try to change an assignment grade from the second
quarter, but I can’t get it to save properly!
Make sure you are in Quarter 2 (Q2) and ALSO
make sure that the assignment date AND the assignment due
date fall within the range of the second quarter. |
