Setting Up Parent Access Page

Description:
Though it might seem trite, these steps let you upload homework / class icons of your choice.  If you don't set your own, then default icons will be used.  Other details are also chosen during this setup, like showing averages, letter grades, etc.

 

On the Teacher Home Page, click the Set up Classes for Parent Access link

 

First, check the appropriate boxes

 

You can upload your own class and homework icons.  You can have one icon for every class or choose different icons for different classes.

 

Use the upload image link to take an image you have on your computer or S drive.

 

Alternatively, you can upload an image to symbolize all your classes and/or all your homework

 

Be sure to click the Save button

Notes:  When the parent sees this on the Parent Access page, they see the Class icon on the homework and the information sub-tabs.

 

They see the homework icon only on the Monthly planner sub-tab of the  Classroom tab

 

If you don't upload an image, a default image will be chosen automatically for you. 

 

To see what you've done, go back to the class dashboard and click the View Parent/student Access Web Site.

 

A new Internet Explorer tab (or window) will open so you can check.

 

If you don't see any changes, try refreshing the page.
