If you're saving your backup to a USB Drive, connect your USB flash
drive to your computer. It probably will appear as your E drive in My Computer, but could be F or G |

When you're done
working with your grade book, click the X in the top right of the window to close the program.
The X
is next to the restore and minimize buttons.

Click
yes to make a backup copy |

If you choose
Yes, then a saving dialog box opens.
Do not press the Save button until you’ve
chosen the location and the file name. Saving a copy allows for an
emergency backup.

Some notes you really
should read:

Choosing No to saving a
backup, no copy is made. If
something happens to your files that file is lost forever! Unless….. If you catch it within 4 days, you can get a hold of Tech
office and it’s possible for them to use the system backup tapes to restore your file. Choose wisely!

Do NOT open your files
from your backup copy!

The best way to open your
grade book is from a shortcut that points to the main file in your home directory.
