Audacity:  Importing Other Audio Files

First you have to have a sound file to import....

There are many places on the web that have free sound clips you can download. 

 

Right-click the file and choose Save Target-As

 

Save to your My Music folder within your S:drive. 

If you wish, use the icon in the upper right corner of the saving dialog box to create a new folder to place the sound file into.

   
Now, in Audacity, go to Project / Import Audio.

 

 

  Find the sound file in your My Music within your S:drive and either double-click or click and press Open

The sound file will appear as another track

     
If needed, set the volume and the left-right controls.

Use this control to go back to the beginning
