Recording Comments:  Elementary

Here are directions on adding comments for students.  Please note that comments should not be deleted from quarter to quarter.

1.  Click on tab

2.  Type comments in your comment bank

3.  Click on the student's name in the list to the left

4.  Verify that the student's name is in the center name field

5.  Don't delete comments from quarter to quarter.  Rather, place your comments after the label Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 at the appropriate times. 

6.  This is the comment area.  You can type in this area as well as put comments from the comment bank.

7.  To add a comment from the bank, first click in the comment area (6) and position the cursor where the comments will go.  Next, click on the 'number' of the comment that you wish to include.

Known comment issues:
  • There's a large enough space to write, but it's for all four quarters.
     
  • If you delete your comments from the comment area each quarter, there will be no record.
     
  • If you run out of space, you could resize the text so that it's a smaller font by:
    • Highlight the text
    • Format menu
    • Size
    • 10

 

  If you're done:  Saving is automatic.  To close out of the program if finished, choose the X in the top right of the window
