Open up Internet Explorer and navigate to the web page you wish to edit

Go to File / Edit with Microsoft Office Word |

When the security dialog box comes up, type in wlake\ before your name in the User name field
Type your password in the password field.

Note: it MUST be a backslash, which is above the Enter key on the keyboard

At this point, the web page should open up in Word. But, it's real important you look up and make sure "Read Only" is not displayed.
Note: If "Read Only" is displayed, close the file out and go through steps 2 and 3 again, making sure you're careful about the backslash and your password. If this is a team web page, the file could be open by another teacher.
