Inserting a Hyperlink to an Offsite Web Page |

IMPORTANT! Close all Internet Explorer windows
|

Open the your web page - in Word - that you wish to place the link on.
|
|

Place the cursor in the document where you want the link to be displayed and type in a description of the web site. |

Highlight the text. Then, right-click
the highlighted text and choose click Hyperlink
Alternatively, use Insert ribbon and Hyperlink

the dialog box that appears, click

Internet Explorer will open. Navigate to the page that you wish the link to go to. | |

Click back on
the taskbar button for your Word document.
The Insert Hyperlink dialog box should have the correct URL in it now.

Hit the

Go to the web
page to see if the changes were made. If not, click the refresh on
the toolbar
