Girls are 4th in the SWC.  Girls win fifth straight Lakewood

Relays championship as well as Westlake Relays championship.  Kalpana Beach is a SWC champion for 3rd time (HJ).  Andi DeMarsh, Erin D’Ettorre, Maddie Sandhu, and Sabrina Rizea (4x100), Stephanie Robb, Sarah Stachowiak, D’Ettorre, and Sandhu (4x200), and Robb, Charlotte Tate, Liz Kobe, and Madison Dunlap (4x800) set new team record.  Six girls qualify to Regionals.  Kalpana Beach qualifies to State for fourth straight year en route to finishing 5th overall.

2010

Girls are 5th in the SWC.  Girls win fourth straight Lakewood

 

 

Relays championship and finish 2nd at Westlake Relays.  Charlotte Tate, Liz Kobe, Bridget Smik, and Alesha Beverly (4x800) set new team record.  Megan Davis (400) and Tate (1600) repeat as Indoor State qualifiers and are joined by Crystal Igwuagwu (TJ).  Two girls qualify to Regionals while Kalpana Beach qualifies to State for third straight year.

Girls are 3rd in SWC.  Girls are three-peat champions at both

 

 

Lakewood and Westlake Relays.  Kalpana Beach (High Jump) and Tate (1600, 800) are SWC Champions.  Beach (HJ) and Alex James (LJ) extend their own records while Dixon (200), Hayley Smik, Liz Stark, Dixon, and Davis (Sprint Medley), Beach, Dixon, and Julie Wang (Team Long Jump), Davis, Sarah Stachowiak, Smik, and Dixon (4x400) and Tate (Freshman 1600, 1600, Freshman 800) set new team records.  Nine girls qualify to Regionals.  Beach (HJ) qualifies to State Meet and finishes 2nd overall.  Megan Davis (400) and Charlotte Tate (1600) become first girls in team history to qualify to Indoor State Championships.  Kristen Stuttgart takes over as sprints coach.

Relays and are 2nd at Berea Relays and Districts.  Bridget McNeill (Discus) and Kalpana Beach (High Jump) are SWC Champions.  Beach (Freshman High Jump, High Jump), McNeill (Discuss), and Alex James (Long Jump) set or extend their own individual records while McNeill, Stephenson, Vivona (Team Discus), James, Beach, Hanna Dixon (Team Long Jump), Megan Davis, Sarah Stachowiak, Megan Boland, Dixon (Sprint Medley), and Alesha Beverly (Freshman 1600, Freshman 3200) all set team records.  Beverly (3200), James (Long Jump), and McNeill (Discus) earn District Championships while twelve girls qualify to Regionals and two qualify to States.  Beach (High Jump) and McNeill (Discus) both place at State Meet with 5th place finishes.

 

 

 

2007

Girls are 1st in the SWC, becoming third winningest program 

 

 

in SWC history.  Girls win Lakewood and Westlake Relays, are 2nd at Comet Relays, and take 3rd at Districts.  Chelsea Garner (110H), Alex James (Long Jump), Amelia Serrat (HJ), and Bridget McNeil (Discus) are SWC Champions.  Sophia Kopasakis (1600), Grace Pophal (PV), and the relay team of Megan Dunlap, Julia Fulton, Megan Davis, and Natalie Bechtel (4x400) all set Freshman Records while Hanna Dixon (100), McNeill (Discus), James (Long Jump), and McNeill, Emily Stephenson, and Katie Vivona (Team Discus) all set team records.  Kopasakis earns a District Championship while seventeen girls qualify to Regionals with Serrat earning a Regional Championship.  Serrat and McNeill finish 14th and 10th, respectively, at the State Meet.

Girls are 3rd in the SWC.  Girls finish 2nd at Westlake Relays.

 

 

KateLynn Riley (110H) three-peats as SWC Champion while Molly Bartkiewicz earns her first.  Hanna Dixon (100) and Bridget McNeill (Discus) set freshman records while Bartkiewicz (PV), Alex James, Melanie Doychack, Chelsea Garner, Claire Knowlton, Riley (Shuttle Hurdles 30” & 33”), Marva Dixon, Nia Marinucci, Liz Stark, and Hanna Dixon (4x100, 4x200) all set team records.  Eight girls qualify to Regionals with Bartkiewicz repeating as District Champion en route to earning both a Regional and a State Championship, becoming the first ever Westlake girl to do so.

 

 

 

2005

Girls are 7th in the SWC.  Brecksville-Broadview Heights,

 

 

Berea, and Midpark replace Bay, Rocky River, and Fairview in SWC.  Riley (110H) repeats as SWC Champion while Molly Bartkiewicz is District Champion.  Bartkiewicz (PV) and Melanie Doychack, Claire Knowlton, Chelsea Garner, and Riley (Shuttle Hurdles 30”) all set team records.  Two girls qualify to Regionals.

Girls are 6th in the SWC.  KateLynn Riley (110H) is an SWC

 

 

Champion.  Molly Bartkiewicz (PV) sets team record and joins Colleen Huffman and Shannon Crabtree (Team Pole Vault) to set another team record.  One girl qualifies to Regionals.  Duane Miller takes over as head coach, Bob Curtis takes over as sprints coach, and Travis Haselswerdt takes over as distance coach.

Girls are 8th in SWC.  Molly Bartkiewicz (PV) sets freshman and

 

 

team record while Colleen Huffman and Laura Babaki (Team Pole Vault) join her to set another team record.  One girl qualifies to Regionals.  Travis Haselswerdt takes over as hurdles and vault coach while Duane Miller takes over as sprints and jumps coach.

Katie Bekany, Kavitha Kotha, Nickole Portwood, and Leah Domine (4x200) are SWC Champions and set both a SWC and a team record while Jill Aron, Karyn Kelly, Mary Gyor, Hallie Stock (4x800) and April Gyor (4x1600) set team records as well.  Seven girls qualify to Regionals.

Corine Hacke three-peats (HJ) as SWC Champion and sets a SWC and team record en route to repeating as District Champion.  Hallie Stock (800), Melissa Stanley, Melanie Edmunds, Katie Bekeny, Kavitha Kotha (4x200), Leah Domine, Edmunds, Drellishak, and Stanley (4x100) set freshman records.  One girl qualifies to Regionals.

Corine Haacke repeats (HJ) as SWC Champion.  Three girls qualify to Regionals as Haacke earns both a District and a Regional Championship.

Girls are 1st in SWC.  Girls take 1st at Comet and Berea Indoor

 

 

Relays, 2nd at Berea and Warrior Relays, and 3rd at Rocket Relays and Districts.  Debbie Hamilton, Cindy Bailey,

Allison Taylor (4x800), and Catherine Ponstingle (4x800, 400, 800) are SWC Champions, with Ponstingle being named SWC Co-MVP.  Numerous team records are broken, including Ponstingle (Most Points Career, Most Points Season, 800, 1600), Taylor (3200), Lynn Himmilwright, Cathy Filkill, Jenn Psota (Team Discuss), Bailey, Taylor, Hamilton, Ponstingle (4x800), Ponstingle, Leech, Bailey, Taylor (4x1600), Chris Wyant, Nikki Thomae, Bailey, Ponstingle (1600 Medley), Barb Busovicki, Bailey, Ponstingle, and Taylor (4000 Medley).  Two girls qualify to Regionals with Ponstingle becoming a District Champion (1600, 800) and a State qualifier.
